Island Images - The Isle of Man's Railways

En-route from the Mine to the Washing Floors.  The original 'Ant' and 'Bee' were supplied to the line in  1877 and replaced horses previously used. The steam locomotives ran underground into the mine to a distance of 1.200 yards.
